28 May A Few Hours in the Doña Anas

Today I was lucky enough to get to spend a few hours with my daughter on a simple drive through the Doña Ana Mountains.

It’s always a challenge to get her excited about going exploring. These adventures have really helped. Today I suggested that we take an easy drive through the Doña Ana Mountains. Nothing too difficult (4×4 required for sure), but a little bumpy. For a few minutes toward the end of our 2-hour adventure, she was a little scared of the road and wished we were done, but she made it through and we were good at the end.

“That was a fun adventure, dad.”

I didn’t even ask her to say it! Those words are the kind of words that stick with you.
