As a father, there’s nothing better than enjoying time with my kids. While I wish I could say that I enjoy every little idea they have, that would be a lie. However, every once in a while we strike gold.

That’s what happened when my daughter came to me and said she wanted to wake up early to go take pictures of the sunrise with the new family camera. Sure enough, she was there next to my bed at 6:20 a.m. the next day.

When I’m outside my mind heals and unfortunately, with how crazy our world is, I need more of that than ever. To share that with my daughter helps me teach her about mental health and taking care of herself.
